SLOOOOOOOOOW WEEK

Hey!!!

This last week was pretty slow . It's a pretty slow area here in Aspen.
So on friday we had zone conference. That was a really long day. It was in Craig which is like 3 hours away, so we woke up at 5:00am and I drove. And then zone conference ended at like 4ish and I drove the 3 hours back....It stunk...I did a lot of driving that day. I talked to my mission president and he said in the near future he wants to put me into a leadership position in the mission. But I don't want to have a leadership position, I like being a regular missionary haha.
I got your package and I loved it!!! So much food and cookies!:) Please tell Lauren McCoy and her husband THANK YOU!! I was able to share with some of the other Elders. We were in heaven because those are the kind of things we can't afford to buy on our budgets. The other Elders thank her too!!
I didn't get that camera yet though. Have you sent it yet?
This week we're gonna work really hard:) Find some new people to teach:)
That's pretty much it for this week. I love you all and hope to hear from you soon!

Hello Aspen!

Hey!

So my new area is Aspen!!! It's so sweet, but we live in Basalt- like 20 minutes outside of Aspen. So we cover Basalt and Aspen. Our area is pretty big haha. I never thought I would serve in Aspen. I mean that's what most people think of when they think of Colorado.

 My address :

Elder Peugnet
291 Park Ave  Apt # J-3
Basalt CO 81621

I love this new area a lot so far. We're not even a ward! We're a branch, so there's not a ton of members out here.
My new companion is Elder Riley. He's from Reno Nevada. He's been out 19 months. He's getting up there haha.
I'm like 2 hours from Cedaredge, I think but not sure.
So the Huggetts are the best family ever! They are like my family away from home. They always fed us and helped us out and stuff. We did a lot of service for them, so we were over there a lot. I'm going to miss them a lot....
So this week was pretty sweet so far. On Saturday we helped with the Aspen Valley Marathon. A member of our branch helped with it so she asked if we could help, so we were doing service a lot of Saturday. That was pretty sweet.
On Sunday apparently there was a lot of visitors haha. Our ward/branch mission leader told us there were more visitors there than actual members of the branch. I guess they get a lot of visitors in the summer.
I miss the heat so much...sounds weird but I miss the Arizona heat...
Everything here is Aspen and Basalt is so expensive!!!...Everything in the store is literally like 1 to 2 times more expensive than other places. And we don't get a ton of dinners here either...So you should send me a lot of food haha. Like canned stuff and macaroni and stuff that would be easy to make:)
Well that's pretty much all that happened this week.
Wait!!!! I received a referral for Heather!!!! This lady in our branch is from the DR and she gave me the address of her family and told me to have Heather or whatever missionaries that are in that area go see them. Pretty cool huh? Small World!
That was my week:)BTW, everyone here is so rich, it's ridiculous. We saw an Audi R-8 the other day (Austin should know what that is) and we've seen multiple Bentleys. I see about 50 Audis everyday and 50 Lexus's and about 100 BMWs. It's crazy!
Well I hope to hear from you soon and love you all!!!!

Love,
Elder Peugnet

To answer some of your questions:

Yes, I need a camera. Mine died a couple of months ago and I miss taking pictures.
Yeah there are grocery stores, (there is a "City Market" close to our apt,  I think it's like the "Fry's" of Colorado) but the prices are ridiculously high because of the area, I guess? I'll probably end up losing weight in this area, haha.
There is a Costco in Rifle, Co which is like an hour away.
No, we don't go back to our apartment for lunch, so we usually go without eating, unless we randomly get an invitation or have money to grab something. (yes, I will accept donations:) haha)
If you send food, please send things that are easy to make, like macaroni, ramen soup, jerkey, things like that. (Oreo's are always a treat!)
Tell everyone at home and in the ward I love my mission and am glad I'm here.
Love, Elder Peugnet

Being Transferred!....Sad Day

Hello!
I found out that I'm being transferred....I'm pretty bummed out. I really love this area  alot and it has really grown on me. Now usually I hate small towns, but the people in this area are just sooo amazing and great people. I'm really going to miss Cedaredge and it will have a place in my heart forever.

I heard through the grapevine that I am whitewashing an area. That means me and another missionary are both being transferred into a new area. This area will have a fresh start:) I guess that means that my mission president has a lot of trust in me if he's having me whitewash.
I will tell you my new address as soon as I find it out! I'm excited to have a fresh start though. Meet and teach new people:) I love meeting and talking to new people:) We're just gonna chill in cedaredge this p day. not really do very much haha.

DDDDAAAAAANNNNNGGGGGGG! Heather is coming home that soon!? Time has flown by! That's pretty crazy. I'm almost at my halfway mark. I can't believe it! Well that's the big news for this week. I hope to hear from you soon and love you all sooooo much!!!!
