MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Hey,                                                                                       12-23-13

So I got transferred as you all know. This is going to be the hardest transfer of my mission so far....My companion is Elder M. He has been out for like 9 months and he is super disobedient...I got put with him to help him out I think.  At least that's people have been telling me. Pray for us.

I have no idea what time I will be calling on Christmas, but I know I will be calling you guys in the morning sometime. And then we can set up skype and stuff. I have unlimited time I can skype but I would like to limit it to about an hour or so. I've talked to other missionaries and they said the longer you talk the more you wanna go home and I don't want that. So let's try to keep it semi short.

I actually love Fruita, besides the smell:) I think I'm gonna be out here for a while. I think that my comp will be transferred next transfer and I'm gonna take over the area.

We have a family in our ward and they are the Sacketts and we're hanging out with them on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day I think me and my comp are going on exchanges because he wants to be with his old comp for Christmas or something. I honestly don't care as long as I get to call home and stuff.

There's tons of snow out here. We have a car so we just drive everywhere.

I love and miss you all And I can't wait to talk to you in 2 days.

Love,
Elder Peugnet

On my last P-day in Highlands Ranch a guy who works with the Denver nuggets mascot came and set up a tramp and mats and we got to have some fun:)

Good bye Highland Ranch..

Hello Everyone!

So transfers are tomorrow!!! And I'm being transferred...again. I'll get special permission to email you guys my address when I find out what it is. I'll try to figure out the skype thing when I get in my new area. I'm bummed to leave this area...things were just starting to pick up here.

We got 2 new investigators this week. One is a foreign exchange student from equador and she lives with one of the members from the ward. Another is a friend of that same family. We have taught the girl Antonella 3 times now. We have taught her The Restoration, The Plan of Salvation and the Gospel OF Jesus Christ. I won't be there for the next lesson cause I'll be gone.. She is really progressing though.

It hasn't been really snowing this week. The sun has been out all week and I have been loving that:))) I don't know what the average temp. is though...

Those snow boots are doing wonders for me!!! I never bought a coat cause I wear a regular coat and then that one coat you bought me over it.

This is going to be a short email cause I don't feel good today and I think I might be getting sick...:P

Love,
Elder Peugnet

Heading out to teach with Elder England

Look what a member bought us!!
(Mom's note: Adam could eat Reese's all day long, he thinks it's one of the main food groups! So he was probably in heaven:)

Coldest Week So Far! -16 degrees one morning!!

Hello,
                                                                                                              12-9-13
So it has been really cold this last week. Almost too cold to go out but we still go out. On extremely cold days we ride our bikes like normal but when the sun goes down then we usually call members and have them drive us around to our appointments.

We still go out and make contact on our bikes. It depends on how deep the snow is if we can ride our bikes. One day this week we had to walk and that was absolutely miserable cause I had dress shoes and regular socks on. That night we texted one of the members and asked her if she had any extra snow boots or knew where we could buy some that wouldn't break the bank. We woke up the next morning and she texted us and told us that there were boots on our doorstep. She had a prompting to buy boots and wool socks and thermal underpants and she went and did it then we texted her right after. She is the best! She is so in tune with the spirit.

We eat really well here. We eat at a members homes almost every night. We cook a couple of meals by ourself. We usually just make fast stuff.. I'm trying new foods...it doesn't mean I like them, but I'm trying them.

About the experiences...It's hard here. It's not that I don't like talking about experiences... it's just that this area and my last area, nothing really happens...it's very slow. I'm not in a foreign country where everyone is so apt to listen to you teach them. It's tough stateside. I'm not going to ever give up but it's tough here.

I don't know if you should send that CHRISTMAS package just yet. Next week is transfers and I'm about 99% I'm being transferred. So I won't have anywhere to put that package or anything.

Last week everyone wanted to go out to eat and play basketball so we ended emailing a little early ( that's why my email was so short).

I got brother Nelsons letter and the Davis's package. I loved them both. I love that Piano Guys CD.

That's awesome that Joey's doing his Eagle project!!

Somehow I didn't find out about grandma until today. Maybe noone told me or I just missed it but she will be in my prayers for sure.

I do have a cool experience. So on Friday there was this Christmas thing in  the Town Center and there were tons of people walking around so,  we locked our bikes up and talked to people for about three and a half hours. No one wanted to learn more but people were willing to talk to us.

Then we went to Sports Authority cause my comp needed a face mask and an employee came up and asked if we were the Mormon Missionaries and told us he wanted to know more about the Book of Mormon. So we told him about it , but we couldn't give him one (BOM) or get his contact info cause he was at work. But we found out that this kid in our ward who just got back from his mission,  like 3 weeks ago works there so we're gonna have him fellowship him and we'll try to talk to him again this week. I hope you guys have a great week and I love you all!!!\

It's getting Cold! 11-25 -13

Hey!!!

I'm doing  awesome!!!

I love my new bike! It's awesome and it rides pretty well. Thanks for sending it to me. Actually thank Brother Atkinson for arranging it to ride up here on a Knight truck. When Brother Atkinson called to tell me where to meet the driver to get my bike, I was like what the heck!? It was sooooo wierd to hear someone from homes voice. lol  There are a lot of people in our  two wards that know a lot about bikes so if we ever need anything when it comes to bikes then we're set.

My new area is like my old area. Everyone here are set in there ways and so they don't really like listening to us at all. We don't really tract that much because our Bishops don't like us tracting. They try to have appointments set up for us each week.

I love my Bishops. They're awesome. They are very missionary minded. We just got a new ward missionary in one of our wards and this guy is a champ. He just moved from Australia and he goes out with us every Sunday. He is Bro. Philips and we're going out with him and Bro. Meza this  Friday and we're going to tract these apartment buildings for about an hour and a half. I'm pumped.

We are always taking bike trails so we try to talk to as many people as we can along the way. We'll get off our bikes and run after them if we have to. Whatever it takes. haha

That's awesome that Alexis Anderson is going to Mexico!! Tell her to baptize plenty of my people for me!! haha.

Tanner  Nally is going to be a champ on his mission. I miss all those guys. It's fun emailing each other though.

Me and my comp are eating at a members on Thanksgiving. We're playing in the turkey bowl in the morning. I'm so pumped for the turkey bowl!!!

So my companion is Elder Enlgand. He is 26 and from Washington St. and he lived in Norterra a couple of years ago. His sister lives by CCV and she knows the Hunters and the Brooksbys . Its a small world.

So, I kinda crashed on my bike yesterday. I hit a curb and fell off the seat and racked myself....It hurt pretty bad. But I'm okay:)

Everything is going pretty well. We're teaching our investigator Gerry tomorrow. We haven't taught him for like 2 weeks so I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I love you all and hope to hear from you super soon!!!

Love,
Elder Peugnet

Transfer to Highlands Ranch 11-12-13

Hey!

SO sorry I didn't email yesterday. A member told us the library was closed  for Veterens day. But we found out at the end of the day that it was open all day. SO our zone leaders told us just to email today.
I got transferred to Highlands Ranch!!! It's one of if not the richest part of Colorado! All the houses are huge!
So we live with some members. They made an apartment in their basement when they built their house just to house missionaries. We have everything. A microwave, stove, oven, fridge, washer, dryer, two bathrooms, everything we need. It's a pretty sweet setup.
My new address is 698 Ridgemont Circle Highlands Ranch CO, 80126.
My new companion is elder England! He is from Washington St.  We came out on the same day! So we are training each other! Our mission president must see something in us to put 2 new missionaries together! So he is 26 years old and he is awesome!  He used to live in Arizona. He lived in Norterra! He know where our house is!!! His sisters brother in law lived in Pleasant Valley! Crazy! What a small world!!!
So my last area was not an area that got white washed! My new area is like my last area. People are really comfortable they way they are. So they don't really like listening to us. But we're not gonna give up.
I hope I stay in this area for a while. But we'll see what happens.
I need some jeans....I totally left my other ones at my last area.
I hope I'll have more to write about when I write next week! I love you all sooooo much!!!:)

October 21st: SNOW!

Hi!

First off my camera broke...I dropped it and it doesn't work anymore :(

We have a debit card and we go shopping every p day. Me and Elder Niue buy our food separately. And we eat at a members house every night for dinner. So we always have lots of leftovers.

We go to the temple the first Wednesday of every month. And we go with a lot of Elders.

And yeah we finally met with Conference guy...and he wasn't interested though. We were kinda of bummed but we didn't let it stop us. We looked in our area book for people to visit and we visited this lady name Kathy. We knocked on the door and she came out and said "I've told you guys a bunch of times don't knock on my door. I'm Catholic and happy with my religion. I'm gonna warn you. If you knock on my door one more time I'm gonna call the police." Elder Niue was like "We're sorry but we're new in this area and we didn't know. But you go ahead and call your police and we'll see what happens." He said that cause the police can't do anything to us. I thought it was pretty funny.

And Elder Niues family probably won't send anything for Christmas. They're really poor and don't have a lot of money. So if you could send him some stuff that would be awesome:)

And I'm so proud of Joey for baptizing his friend! That's awesome! Well I love you all very much!

Sincerely, Elder Peugnet

October 14th: One Month!

Hello!

So yes we're teaching a lot of people but most of them are less actives or recent converts. We have a couple of investigators though. There is this guy we tracted into that we call conference call guy. We knocked on his door and he answered and said "Sorry, I'm on a conference call so you guys will have to come back later." So we came back the next day and he came to the door and said "I'm still on a conference call so you guys will have to come back later" hahahaha! We're gonna go back this week again.

My area is not too huge. It's mostly all on a mountain hence the name Green Mountain. And we drive everywhere.

The deseret book is by the Temple. So when we went to the temple I think two weeks ago we went to deseret book afterwards.

I got the package:) I love you all soooooo much! And I can't wait to hear from you again:) And send as many letters as you can:) Physical letters. Cause those really are golden. I'll send some pictures today too!

Love,
Elder Peugnet

We didn't have dinner this night :)

So today is my p-day! My companions name is Elder Niue and he is from Samoa! He has been out 5 months and is already a trainer. We get along alright but I have a hard time understanding him. But other than that I love the area! I love the weather up here. It's so perfect!

My ward is the Green Mountain 2nd ward. The average age of the members is like 50......Lots of old people :) It's a pretty small ward too!

My address is:

Elder Adam Peugnet
13884 Baltic Pl.
Lakewood, CO 80228

September 15th: The MTC

Hello!!!!

Sorry I haven't emailed yet! The server has been down for the past 2 days.

So the MTC is awesome! I have learned so much here already! It's pretty cool! My companion is Elder Garner and he is from Las Vegas. He is really cool. We get along so well! We are sharing a room with Elders Brown and King. King is from California and Brown is from Idaho. I'm not staying at the main campus at the MTC. I'm at Wyview campus. The 2nd day here me and my companion were made zone leaders. It's a lot of work.

Well my next P day is next Friday hopefully!

Sincerely,
Elder Peugnet
